I will miss Dave!

I have known him since 1977.

I even remember the first time he got up and sang at the 'Royal Standard' when some band failed to turn up in 1978, but the instruments were all there so we had our very own gig. We took turns, obviously Dave was the best, and i think he became a singer reluctantly! I remember the time when he tried to kill himself at a gig, he waited 'till the band came on and locked himself in the bogs and slashed his wrists. This was a regular thing, I also recall sometime in 1979 when every one thought he had died and every one was in the local 'HMV' in Bradford crying, then he walked in the shop with a big smile on his face asking what was happening. Another time he had just come out of prison and told me he coudn't handle life without drugs. When he went away we were told not to get in touch with him otherwise he would not get better, so that was the last time i saw him. Always vulnerable but always great fun!!

R.I.P DAVE!
