emails in after seeing his old band on the Bored Teenagers web site....

Hi Alick here from "Les Elite". The story is more or less true. I do remember those gigs, the violence and the police. Don't forget that the National Front was around at that time. Great time was had by all, supporting the likes of the Purple Hearts, the Chords, Secret Affair etc After we broke up went off to form a band called Temper and we toured 3 times with the Mo-dettes. Got to be in the Virgin Year book as best promising band of the year. Got loads of press, a famous manager and then disbanded. Typical ...Then went to work with Shane McGowan (Pre Pogues. Happy song and all that . Demos produced by Weller) then a stint with Kim Wilde.

Like you said in your piece , I then went on to produce demos for young bands notably 23 Skidoo and a rap band called Faze 0ne that got them a big deal with Street Sounds Records and a stint on the "Tube" Played in a great reggae band called Reggae Magic that played around east London / Hackney for about 8 years (I love that reggae beat and the smoke that comes with it!!)

I still have not lost my passion for all things music (unlike many others). I still record and I am releasing an album on the 14th Feb Check out www.allmightywhispers.com

Already my promo has been played by Mark Radcliffe on Radio 2 so things are ticking along juuusst nice. Could do with some of the money that you guys are making out of this though. Happy times, Happy times.

Regards

Alick
