EMAIL UPDATES.....

Hi Dizzy

What a sweet email to receive.

How on earth did you track me down as it's not an association I advertise much! The other members of the band were Mike Prior (guitar & vocals), Tony Newman (keys) and Gary Puttock (drummer). I also played (loosely speaking) the bass.

The first track on the demo (which had the refrain 'Do you really care') is what I fondly remember as our best track 'Do they play chess on Planet B1' - which was the first planet discovered outside our solar system sometime in the late 70s and, in true punk tradition, taken from a headline in a Mensa magazine!. The last one is 'The Akron Song',  written in response to NME's month long obsession with all the bands coming from that little corner of Ohio, although I can only now recall Devo. I would love to hear the songs again, especially as I keep promising to search out a recording for my wife & daughters.

I have not seen any of the band members for decades but your email has prompted me to do a quick search and I think I have come up with Mike and Tony's emails (copied in above). Mike used to keep detailed records of everything we did and I am pretty sure he can provide you with all the info/photos you require. Our gig at the Middlesborough Rock Garden appears to be something of an internet legend and I particularly like the comment made by one punter, who did not even see us that night but still remembers (30 years on) hearing how bad we were from his friends!

Thanks again Dizzy - this is even more fun than the time I spotted our autographs for sale on ebay about a decade ago. You'll not be surprised to hear that no one had made a bid until I came up with the princely sum of £5 for that little bit of posterity.

And thanks also for giving me the excuse to say hello to Mike and Tony - how are you both? Afraid I could find no trace of Gary but it would be dandy to have drink sometime if you're up for it.

I look forward to hearing from you all.
